A cocoa drink with our Ceremonial Cacao can replace coffee in the morning and contribute to heart and nervous system health and to strengthen the immune defenses, thanks to the action of flavonoids, antioxidants present in cocoa. IS an excellent ally of the immune system, but also a mood-improver, that is, thanks to the tryptophan content, it helps the production of serotonin, a good mood hormone, thus improving our emotional state. You can drink it in the morning during or after your meditation session, during breakfast and in the Ceremonie del Cacao to relax the body and calm the mind.
TIPS FOR USE WITH THE HELP OF A BLENDER (quick and easy)
The first time we recommend starting with a dose between 10 g and 20 g of cocoa (the ceremonial dose is around 30-40 g max.), to get in touch with its intense flavor, very different from the commercial chocolates we have been used to all the way. So: chop the cocoa with the help of a knife and heat mineral water (equivalent to a cup of water) or vegetable milk. Once hot, add the water, cocoa and spices and blend everything for a few seconds.
For a functional effect, an excellent solution is the use of herbs and spices, such as cinnamon, vanilla, cardamom, turmeric, ginger, rosemary, thyme, maca, ashwagandha, ginseng, chilli and so on. Indigenous Mesoamerican peoples drank pure cocoa in a cup with chilli, vanilla, honey and corn.
Recommended doses: start with with 10 g and 20 g of cocoa. Although the ceremonial dose is 40 g, we always recommend not to exceed 30 g per person, which are more than enough. In the case of daily and continuous use, it would be more appropriate to use around 10-15 grams, as many doctors and nutrition experts report. Ask your specialist if you are following a particular diet.
Ceremonial cocoa, being true pure cocoa, is a very energetic food, and should be drunk with awareness and caution.
- As Ceremonial Cacao is a pure product, it has a powerful vasodilating action, increasing blood flow. It may therefore not be indicated in the case of severe heart disease.
- Consult your gynecologist if you are pregnant.
- The stimulating and energizing effect of cocoa begins about half an hour after its intake. We recommend drinking a glass of water before and after to aid absorption and digestion.
- If you have prepared a high dose of cocoa by mistake, you can simply dilute it further with water or vegetable milk.
- It is also advisable to use water or vegetable drinks for its preparation.

International deliveries take approximately up to 4-7 working days in Europe, but also for the United States and main cities around the globe with UPS and DHL.
Abroad Europe: please keep in mind it is your responsibility to pay any taxes or customs charges that may be incurred once the items arrive in your country. From our part, we will prepare all the documents and invoices needed. You'll receive the tracking number for your reference.
This was my first experience with ceremonial cacao, and I chose the Guatamalan origin based on the recommendation of a friend. The cacao was creamy, smooth and delightful, and we played with different spice combinations including cinnamon & cardamom, a touch of chilli, bee pollen, and sweetened with honey or sugar (honey was a clear winner). My teenagers absolutely loved it and asked me to make them a cacao after dinner most evenings (much to my amusement and dismay because we went through 500g cacao in just over a week!).
Definitely re-ordering, and this time I'll be hiding away my own supply;)
