We are very happy to be able to share this treasure from our El Salvador with you. We present to you our limited edition of this artisanal cocoa paste, made with rare white Criollo cocoa beans.
We believe in the beauty of the cocoa ritual and its ancient role in Mesoamerican culture. For this reason, we have created a cocoa mass with a rough texture, obtained by stone pressing cocoa beans. This pasta will allow you to discover a new aspect of this functional food.

__________________________________________________________________________ ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF THIS COCOA
These beans come from Copinol Escondido, a beautiful and small estate whose owner, Elmer Martinez, is always committed to the conservation and redemption of the local varieties of criollo found on the Cacahuatique hill. This hill, located above the towns of Ciudad Barrios and Osicala in the province of Morazán, derives its name from the Mayan language Quiché, which translates to "Hill of the Cocoa Gardens." El Salvador has always hidden unique treasures, and this cocoa is precisely one of those that are rarely found, but above all are redeemed by visionary people, who do their best every day to be able to preserve them.

WHY DRINK PURE COCOA IN THE MORNING
A delicious and nutritious drink with our cocoa can replace coffee in the morning and contribute to the health of the nervous system, cognitive system and heart. It also helps strengthen immune defenses thanks to the action of flavonoids, antioxidants present in cocoa. Cocoa is also considered a mood improver , that is, it helps - thanks to the content of the amino acid tryptophan - to the production of serotonin, a good mood hormone, thus improving our emotional state. Cocoa contains neurotransmitters and bliss molecules, such as anandamide, an endocannabinoid that is produced by our body, and which is further stimulated with cocoa, giving us a feeling of well-being and pleasure. You can drink it in the morning, during or after your meditation session, you can use it for holistic purposes, in cocoa circles to untie emotional knots, and introduce it into your diet with awareness.
HOW TO PREPARE IT:
Crush approximately 15 - 20 g of cocoa according to your personal preferences, with the help of a knife. Heat some water (equivalent to a large teacup – 180-200 ml) or if you prefer, use a vegetable drink of your choice.
Pour the freshly cut cocoa into a saucepan, and little by little add hot water (not boiling, otherwise it will alter the flavor of the cocoa and its important properties); mix it until it dissolves completely. Add the remaining water. If you don't want to use the saucepan, you can use a blender or a simple milk frother. The traditional drink is bitter, but if you really can't resist, you can add a date to the blender, or a little honey.
For a functional effect, an excellent solution is the use of medicinal herbs and spices, such as cinnamon, cardamom, chili pepper, damiana, ashwagandha, turmeric, ginger and so on. In Mesoamerica, part of modern-day Central America, cocoa is often prepared with a corn paste.

- Some people maintain that there is a specific "ceremonial dose" and that it is 40 g per person. We instead recommend not to exceed 30 g per person. In the case of daily and continuous use, it would be more appropriate to use it around 10-15 g max. Otherwise it is best to use it every other day and at different periods.
- Since it is pure cocoa paste, it becomes a real, very energetic food; for this reason, it should be drunk with awareness and caution, avoiding excesses, and preferring a varied and balanced diet.
- Consult your specialist if you are pregnant or have serious heart conditions.
- The stimulating and energizing effect of cocoa begins about half an hour after its intake. We recommend drinking a glass of water before and after to aid absorption and digestion.

For me this variety is the most delicious ever. It's very gentle and soft but still full of aroma and rich in taste, super creamy when melted. Much less bitter than the other ones, it really touches your heart like a warm embrace.
